Rheumatology Care for Whittier &
Southeast LA
Two board-certified rheumatologists and a friendly, experienced team treating arthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoporosis. Bone density scans, infusion therapy, joint injections, and clinical trials are all available right here in our Whittier office.
Everything you need, in one visit.
Most rheumatology patients are sent across town for scans, infusions, or trials. At Amicus, each of these has its own place inside our office, so your diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up can happen in the same building, with the same team.
Rheumatology Consultations
Diagnosis and long-term management of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions by two board-certified rheumatologists. We evaluate joint pain, inflammation, and related symptoms to identify the underlying condition and build a treatment plan.
Gout Treatment
Fast relief for painful gout flares, plus long-term uric acid management to prevent future attacks. Gout is a form of arthritis that brings sudden, intense joint pain and swelling, most commonly in the big toe.
Lupus & Autoimmune Disease
Ongoing care for lupus, Sjögren's, and other autoimmune conditions, with regular monitoring to catch changes early and adjust treatment as symptoms shift.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatment
Early diagnosis and modern treatment plans, from conventional medications to biologics, to protect your joints and mobility. We use blood work, imaging, and clinical exams to confirm the diagnosis and measure how well treatment is working.
Infusion Therapy
Receive biologic and other IV therapies in our comfortable in-office infusion center, monitored by staff who already know your history. Sessions are scheduled at times that work for you, in a quiet space designed for comfort during longer visits.
Insurance & Billing Help
We accept most national PPO plans, Medicare, and many local IPA and HMO plans, including coverage for bone density scans and infusion therapy. Our staff verifies your benefits before treatment begins.
Osteoporosis & DEXA scans
Quick, painless DEXA bone density scans on-site to screen for osteoporosis and osteopenia. Results are reviewed by your rheumatologist, often at the same visit. Screening is recommended for older adults and anyone with risk factors for bone loss.
Clinical Trials
Access to carefully selected trials of new rheumatological therapies, an option for patients whose condition hasn't responded to standard treatment. Contact us to discuss whether a current trial might be right for you.
Patient Portal
Secure access to all your health information, test results, and easy online bill payment from home, any time. Your records stay organized and available whenever you need them, whether you're at home or away.
Insurance and Network Plans We Accept
We accept most major insurance plans. Because coverage varies from policy to policy, we recommend contacting your insurance company to confirm your benefits before your visit.
