About Dr. Gelfand

Gilbert F. Gelfand, M.D. is a board-certified rheumatologist and a fellow of both the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Rheumatology (FACR). He serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC).

As a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD®), Dr. Gelfand is highly experienced in the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis, offering patients precise bone-density evaluation alongside comprehensive rheumatologic care. He has been caring for patients in the Whittier area and throughout Southeast Los Angeles for more than 30 years.

Dr. Gelfand currently serves as Chief of Rheumatology at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, a USC teaching hospital, where he has actively participated in the training and education of rheumatology fellows and orthopedic residents for over three decades.
